Discussion
Break into your presentation groups. In your group discuss how you might work with an adolescent who fits one of the descriptions on the handout based on the content of todays presentation. The ages on the handout vary so try to relate you discussion to a similar adolescent. This adolescent can be in any setting you chose (i.e. school, residential treatment, youth group, program for gifted kids, etc.). You have also been given Pete Quily's (2006) article "Top Ten Advanteges of ADD in a High Tech Career" (In which 10 positive atributes of AD/HD are described) and "Participant Ideas from Pete Quily’s Practical Success Tips for Adults with ADD Seminar. CHADD Vancouver, October 21, 2003." You have also been given the "Famous People with AD/HD" page content and the "Quotes" page content. Please feel free to be as creative and inovative as you like.
After you have had some time to discuss possible strategies I will invite each group to share their ideas.
